More Funding for Our Cause! We’re the top fundraising City Council campaign (as of May 31, 2005), and we’ve just been informed that we can raise $5,000 more! Good news for our fundraising efforts came this month from the Tucson City Clerk’s Office. Because the amount of Clean Elections funding available is based on voter figures from the previous election, we’ve been informed that we can raise and spend more than expected. So while we’ve met the first mark ($39,700) we can use your help to reach the adjusted, higher threshold ($42,400). That also means our overall Clean Elections campaign budget will increase from $79,400 to $84, 800. I am committed to the City’s nationally-recognized Clean Elections program. I believe it helps to protect local democracy from the unfair influence of special-interest money. Democracy is based upon one person, one vote NOT one dollar, one vote. Help me to run and win as a Clean Elections candidate. Please consider contributing a few dollars or as importantly a few hours to our campaign! Click on “Contribute” (left) to learn more. Thanks! |
